He’s got them on his iPod!
Barack Obama has reportedly booked out nearly every seat for an upcoming Two Door Cinema Club gig. He’s a huge fan!
The band are due to play Washington DC on October 2nd as part of their upcoming North American tour, and it could be the most important gig of their lives.
According to The Sun, the band have been forced to add a second show in the city after the President of the USA made sure his colleagues at the White House got to hear their sound.
There’s been such demand from fans who don’t work for the Democratic leader that it seems it was only fair to cater to them, too.
A source is said to have told the tabloid: “Alex was delighted to hear their US gig had been practically booked out by Barack and his team. He thinks it’s mad the President of the United States has their tunes on his iPod. You can’t get a much bigger fan than that.”
The Northern Irish trio played Leeds Festival yesterday (August 24) and will take to the stage at Reading tomorrow (August 26). Exciting times!
Earlier this week, the band announced details of their biggest UK tour to date. They will play 10 shows in January and February of next year, following the release of their second LP ‘Beacon’, on September 3.
Seriously, can Barack get any cooler?
