Beyonce to direct, produce and star in an autobiographical documentary which will include concert footage and interviews.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Beyonce’s agents have been shopping the concept to Hollywood studios. There is already 20 minutes of footage being shown to potential distributors.
Several musicians have appeared in their own documentary features, including Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.
Beyonce’s documentary is expected to include behind-the-scenes concert footage, confessional interview and a glimpse at her life with her new baby.
The 30-year-old singer is also slated to star in a remake of “A Star Is Born,” which has Clint Eastwood attached to direct. Tom Cruise was rumored to be in talks for the character of Norman Maine.
Beyonce and Jay-Z, who married in 2008, welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy Carter on January 7 in a New York hospital. The rapper then released a song about the baby, called “Glory.”
The singer made her post-pregnancy concert debut over the Memorial Day weekend with a four-night run in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She revealed during the performance that she lost 60 pounds to get in shape for the shows.
Beyonce told her audience on May 26, according to Us Weekly, “Y’all have no idea how hard I worked … I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!”
