Let’s face it, RiRi grabs as many headlines for her lack of clothes as she does for her sense of style, but with the fashionably late unveiling of her River Island collection at London Fashion Week, it’s all about the clothes (for the moment at least). That makes it high time we hit the sales to find her look for less.
Rihanna was last spotted leaving The Box nightclub in Soho on Saturday night, when a crazed fan threw a bottle and injured her. No girl wants to accessorize an outfit with grazed knees, so we’re looking back to a recent look where a camouflage clad Rihanna attempted a more stealthy late night retreat. That said, the camouflage didn’t stop her getting papped leaving the Greystone nightclub in LA.
Well, nothing turns heads like a lady in a sexy red dress! Rihanna must really love her American Apparel bustier dress, as she also has the black version – and at £46 we say why not buy both?
Searching the sales for a bargain we’ve found a strikingly similar dress at Boohoo.com, reduced from £20 – £15. The only major difference is the stud detailing – and RiRi is definitely not averse to a few studs.
Rihanna’s camo jacket is from Coal n Terry Vintage, and for $180 comes complete with more studs and customised patches, including smiley face motifs and, ahem, marijuana leaves.
The jacket we’ve found in the sale at Topshop has been reduced from £48 – £35 and can be a blank canvas for however you choose to customise your camouflage. With the high street giant now open in LA we’re only set to see more famous faces hunting for bargains from here on in.
Here, Rihanna is putting her best foot forward in £700 Givenchy sandals. Look closely and they have edgy shark tooth detailing on the twist-lock fastenings. If you want your own designer moment, you can treat your feet to the wolf-fish version at THE OUTNET, where they’re marked down from £1160 – £406.
However, if you want your bank balance to stay firmly in the black, La Redoute have a version similar to Rihanna’s black sandals. Reduced from £49 – £24.50 nobody can deny they’re a steal.
Now, it wouldn’t be a Rihanna look without some bling, but if your budget doesn’t quite stretch to diamonds, you can still shine bright. Accessorise with a chunky gold watch, like this one from the Rocha. John Rocha collection at Debenhams, WAS £80 NOW £56.
Then with small change to spare you can add some hoop earrings from Wallis. WERE £6.50 NOW £2.
Finish your homage to our homegirl with a slick of sexy red lippy and you’re ready for your close up. Mwah!
