The couple wed in southern Italy before family and friends, People magazine and E! Online reported on Friday, October 19. A rep for Biel confirmed the marriage to OTRC.com.

This marks the first marriage for the pair. Timberlake, a 31-year-old actor and singer who rose to fame with the boy band ‘N Sync, and Biel, a 30-year-old actress who once starred in the hit series “7th Heaven,” had dated on and off for about five years and got engaged in December 2011.

“It’s great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends,” People magazine quoted Biel and Timberlake as saying in a statement.

Their wedding ceremony took place at the Borgo Egnazia resort in the southern Italian city of Fasano, according to E! Online, which also reported that celebrity guests included Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy Juvonen, Andy Samberg, Timbaland, ‘N Sync alum Chris Kirkpatrick, and Biel’s “7th Heaven” co-star Beverley Mitchell.

Kirkpatrick, who just turned 41, posted a picture message on his Twitter page on Wednesday: “Birfday shots before Italy.”

The two celebrated their impending union with a star-studded engagement party in May. Guests reportedly included Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Adams, Timbaland and two other ‘N Sync alums – Lance Bass and JC Chasez.

Timberlake and Biel have kept mum about their relationship and engagement as well as about recent reports that said they planned to tie the knot in Italy this week. More details about their ceremony and photos from the event are set to be published in People magazine on Wednesday.

On Thursday, E! News personality and “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest posted a cryptic Tweet on Thursday, saying: “Hey @LanceBass @realjoeyfatone @JCChasez @IamCKirkpatrick&u guys have any plans this weekend? Wanna grab some froyo?”

He did not clarify his remarks. Bass, Chasez, Kirkpatrick and the fifth N’ Sync member that he referenced, Joey Fatone, did not respond publically.
