The rapper is clearly in high demand as he has been forced to add an extra date
Kanye West has announced a second London date after tickets for the first show almost sold out after going on sale this week.
The ‘All Of The Lights’ rapper will now be performing on February 23 adding to the already announced February 24 date at the Hammersmith Apollo, for which fans raced to buy tickets soon after they went on sale on Thursday.
Kanye’s dates will be the first time the rapper has performed in the UK since he toured with Jay-Z to promote their collaborative Watch The Throne album.
Perhaps fans can expect to hear new music from Kanye at the shows as the rapper has been working on his sixth album, and was recently spotted at a recording studio with Will Smith during their holiday in Brazil last week.
DJ Batutinha, the studio’s owner, told The Sun that ‘Willye’ – see what we did there – wanted to learn more about making funk music, possibly for Kanye’s upcoming sixth studio album.
“Kanye was keen to get to learn more about the funk in Rio and a DJ friend of mine referred him to me,” DJ Batutinha told the newspaper.
“Will and him went to the studio to get to know the sound of the funk better. They thought we could all work out something together and launch this new project.”
