Miley Cyrus’s Shocking Tweet! Is It An Attack On Christianity?

Fans are livid that Miley Cyrus tweeted a controversial quote about an evolutionary philosopher — are they taking it too far?

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus entered Hollywood as a fun-loving, traditional southern girl with strong religious and moral beliefs. But as the teen queen grew into her “cannot be tamed” persona, she pulled a few stunts that landed her on the “Good Girls Gone Bad” list. Miley’s loyal fans have always defended her questionable behavior, but a recent tweet may have sent them over the edge.

“Beautiful,” Miley tweeted with a photo of a theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss.

On the photo is one of his quotes reading, “You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements (carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, all the things that matter for evolution) weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in stars. So forget Jesus. Stars died so you can live.”

Some fans were livid Miley would post a picture that said “forget Jesus” and advocated evolution. One fan attacked her saying, “So are you no longer a Christian? Forget Jesus??? Seriously? What has happened to you out there in the famous world? What????”” Another person tweeted, “You seriously believe that crap? It’s so ridiculously stupid. Go to hell.”

Other fans think haters are taking the tweet too seriously. Miley didn’t respond directly to any of the backlash, but backed up her post with a gay rights, “NO H8″ tweet and a picture of herself with the tagline, “We could all: Love more.”

Tell us what YOU think? Do YOU think Miley’s tweet is offensive, or are her fanes being too sensitive?
