Pamela Anderson has sent ‘vegan treat hampers’ to several Bollywood stars encouraging them to adopt a vegan diet.
The former Baywatch star, who is an honorary director PETA, sent the hampers to celebrate World Vegan Month, CNN IBN Live reports.
In a statement, Anderson said: “I have found that eating vegan helps me stay healthy, and gives me the energy to keep up with my kids, work, and travel and we all like a little truly harmless indulgence.
“I hope you and your family will enjoy lots of holiday cheer this year and join me in wishing goodwill towards all fellow beings with whom we share the planet.”
Recipients are understood to include Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Hema Malini, Shahid Kapoor, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha.
Anderson is a staunch advocate of animal rights and most recently played a key role in securing the rescue of an Indian elephant that had suffered maltreatment by its owners for fifty years.
