Fake news article appears on Twitter
Rihanna is the latest victim of cruel online death hoaxes.
The singer was falsely reported dead by a doctored image appearing to show the news breaking on a French news site.
The screenshot did the rounds on Twitter late last night, leading many to believe that the 24-year-old had passed away.
It’s not the first time the ‘We Found Love’ star has been targeted. In January she was falsely reported dead in a plane crash.
Death hoaxes have been rising to prominence as Twitter has gained popularity, with a countless number of celebs falling victim.
The situation is now so out of hand that often, when celebrities do pass away, many people assume it’s just another trick.
