Actress denies she’s played sexy characters…
Despite donning a tight leather catsuit for Avengers Assemble, Scarlett Johansson insists she isn’t a sex symbol and doesn’t understand why she’s been given the label!
The 27-year-old insists she doesn’t think of herself as particularly attractive and thinks it won’t be long before people get bored of her looks. Talking to Empire magazine, the actress says:
”I don’t know, I don’t think of myself that way. It’s alright for now. I’m convinced that obviously in a couple of years’ time it will be somebody else. I won’t be as interesting that way.’
Despite taking on some sexy roles in films like Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Scarlett reckons it isn’t her movie choices that have turned her into a lustworthy star:
”I actually have not played that many sexy characters! Of course you could say the characters I played maybe in ‘Match Point’, maybe in ‘Black Dahlia’ (are sexy). But the characters I play aren’t really traditionally sexy, I don’t think.”
She continued: “I don’t think I was particularly sexy in ‘Lost in Translation’ or particularly sexy in ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’ … I think it’s probably a reaction to the fact that I’m curvy and confident about it, maybe.”
We’re sure all eyes will be on those curves when Scarlett returns to the big screen as Black Widow in Avengers Assemble next month…
