Sharon Stone Reveals ‘Doctors Thought She Was Being A Diva’ When She Nearly Died From Brain Haemorrhage

The Hollywood star says doctors never took her life-threatening illness serious

Sharon Stone has revealed that when she suffered a near-fatal brain haemorrhage, doctors thought the Hollywood actress was just being a diva.

The 54-year-old actress has admitted that she was left shocked by doctor who failed to take her illness serious after she was taken to hospital by a friend.

“I fell over the couch, smashed into the coffee table, bounced my head off the floor and lay there for a long time,” the Hollywood star told The Sunday Times Style.

The actress revealed that following her harrowing ordeal her friend, who rushed her to a nearby hospital, had to stress the severity of the her condition.

“My best friend had to explain to the doctors that people don’t fake 23 hours of unconsciousness,” the actress added.

The health scare was cause by “the pressure of blood in Sharon’s head pushing her brain into the back of her face”.

The Basic Instinct star admitted that since the incident she has adopted a new ethos to life and is less fussy over unimportant things.

“When I was in neurological intensive care many fatalities occurred around me.

“It took a long time to recover. You can’t just drain the blood. It takes a very long time for the body to repair itself.

“Once your brain has blown up, you get a lot more choosy about the things you try to throw in there.
