Simon Cowell Insists One Direction Aren't Bothered About Grammy Snub: 'Fans Are More Important'

They might have won a legion of fans across the Pond, but it would appear that not everyone in the US is a One Direction fan.

Simon Cowell Insists One Direction Aren’t Bothered About Grammy Snub: ‘Fans Are More Important’

The boy band have not been included in this year’s Grammy nominations, despite two Billboard top ten hits and a chart-topping album.

But their mentor Simon Cowell said they are not bothered about missing out as there are more important things for a boy band to worry about.

Speaking to MTV News last night, the X Factor boss said: “You know what’s more important? Fans, record sales, I’ve always said that. Maybe next year they’ll get something.”

And he said the lads aren’t stressing about it either and added that they were “not complaining”.

One Direction are not alone, because, and probably more surprisingly, Justin Bieber has also missed out on a nomination this year.

But the teen heartthrob’s manager Scooter Braun was less diplomatic than Cowell and took to his Twitter page to declare that the Grammy voters “blew it” for not recognising Bieber this year.

Do you think One Direction deserve a Grammy nod?
