The Kardashian sisters threatened with lawsuit over new make-up line

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney accused of pinching the name of a cosmetic brand for their own slap

It stands to reason that the Kardashian sisters would want to launch their own make-up line. They are girls. They love getting dolled up. They are reality stars and will therefore launch a line of every saleable product which can be tenuously linked to them.

So it comes as no surprise that their latest project is a cosmetic line. It launches next month and will be called Khroma Beauty.

That is unless Michael Rey, the co-owner of the strangely similarly named Chroma Makeup in Beverly Hills has anything to do with it.

He has told TMZ.com that it has taken him years to build up an A-list clientele and that the Kardashian line, which will be sold in lower end stores such as CVS, Sears and Ulta, will cheapen his products by association.

According to the site, Michael thinks his customers will be embarrassed to say they use the line once the Kardashian one comes out. He has written to his clients to assure them Chroma is not linked in any way to the “low-budget cosmetic products” of the sisters.

He has apparently hired a legal team and is hoping the girls will change the name before he has to take any action.

TMZ contacted the Kardashians, but have not heard back… Kim was very busy this weekend dressing up as a mermaid – what do they expect.
