Bruce Springsteen and The Black Keys also performed during the night
Lady Gaga helped The Rolling Stones close the year with a bang when she joined them on stage during their final ’50 and Counting’ anniversary tour show.
The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker joined The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger for a performance of their 1997 hit ‘Gimme Shelter’ which has seen renditions from the likes of Mary J. Blige and Florence Welch during previous shows on the tour.
Dressed in a monochrome catsuit and a long blonde wig, Gaga paraded around the stage as she fulfilled a life-long dream to perform with the rockers, at New Jersey’s Prudential Center on Saturday night.
“I had a life dream to be transported in a time machine to 1973 NJ, beer + badboys. Someone heal me it happened + then I sang with the Stones,” Gaga tweeted after the show.
Later in the show, Bruce Springsteen joined the band to perform ‘Tumbling Dice’ while The Black Keys sang a rendition of ‘Who Do You Love.’
Mick also dedicated their track ‘Wild Horses’ to the victims of the tragic Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, telling the audience: “I just wanted to take a minute and send our love and condolences to those who lost their loved ones yesterday.”
