Useful Solutions against skin tanning in summer

Tans are caused by the harmful UV rays from the sun and they damage the skin. So here are some simple methods to remove the horrible tan and the best part is you can do all of these at home.

photos image source flick.com | Most of the people go for facial creams that have bleaching agents in them and bleach is not good for the skin if used for a long period of time. Instead you can apply face packs that you can prepare at home using natural products and these would prove effective in removing the tan from our face, neck, arms, back, feet and hands. These treatments are traditional and the effects won’t be noticeable instantly. You will get the results after about a week. Below are some methods:

– Take some lemon juice and mix it with rose water and cucumber juice. Apply this mixture on the face as a face pack. The benefits of using these ingredients are that lemon juice is citric in nature which helps to remove tan and the other two ingredients are cooling agents.

– You can make another anti tan pack mixture by mixing honey and lemon juice and then treating the affected area with it.

– Another splendid remedy would be to mix raw milk, lemon juice and turmeric and make a paste out of it. This can then be applied on the tan affected areas and allowed to dry for a while. Wash it off with cool water to get the results.

– Next is a mixture of butter milk and oatmeal. This has an added feature. Apart from applying it over the affected area, you can also rub it over the skin as oatmeal is an exfoliating agent and oatmeal is soothing.

– Worried about tan on knees and elbows or other patchy area of your body? Apply lemon juice and allow it to be there for about 15 minutes and then wash it off. This helps to make those areas fair.

– IF you have coconut available near you then even its water can be used as an excellent anti tanning agent. It makes the skin soft.

– Aloe Vera is an all time favorite for removing tans. If applied regularly, the aloe vera gel can work wonders and make the skin lighter within a week. A word of caution though, aloe makes your skin photosynthetic and your skin might get dark if you expose it to sun without applying a sunscreen.

– Love papaya? Make a paste out of papaya pulp and apply it over the affected areas. It has another benefit as papaya is also helpful in anti-aging.

– Want to see instant difference? Mix lime and tomato juice. Add yogurt and oatmeal and make a paste out of it. Apply this paste on the tanned area of the body. Let it remain for some time and then wash it with cold water and see the change.
