Smartphones are everywhere! It’s like a mobile invasion and there seems to be no stopping it. People are now addicted and are rapidly ditching their old phones for these more sophisticated and trendy models. Since Smartphones can connect you to the Internet, it is as if you are carrying your personal laptop with you. Now, that combo is not just smart but indeed functional too. There is just one problem though for some people. It can be expensive to own a Smartphone especially if you want something that is durable and something that is feature-rich. If you wait for the day that these come on sale, you might be left out since Smartphones nowadays are upgraded yearly and you might have to compromise having one that is not the best that the market has to offer.

Rumor has it that Amazon will be launching a new Smartphone soon. As to when, that has yet to be confirmed. According to insiders, this will be out by summer. Amazon gained a following when it produced the Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD tablet family. This was a cheaper option to more popular tablet out in the market. Amazon took advantage of its position as one of the leading sources of digital content and was able to sell numerous Kindle Fire tables because it bundled this in its own store. Because of the success of its tablet lines, it is only expected that Amazon’s next step is to produce its very own Smartphone soon.

Some sources say that the soon to be released Kindle Phone will combine two of the most sought after features of some of the leading Smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is known for its eye-tracking technology. HTC EVO 3D and LG Optimus 3D on the other hand feature 3D display. Amazon will try to set its own mark by combining these two features in their new Kindle Phone. If Amazon was able to produce tablets integrated with 3G modems, surely it also has the capability of producing a powerful Smartphone. Does this imply that leading mobile manufacturers should fear the production of the Kindle Phone?

If Amazon was able to provide a free data plan to its 3G capable Kindle eReaders, will it also plan to do this with its soon to come Smartphone? If an affordable calling plan is in store for those who will buy the Kindle phone, then other mobile companies may have something to worry about. If the Kindle phone has a processor powerful enough to rival the performance of other Smartphones and if this is combined with a calling plan, this could easily make Amazon one of the top mobile producers in the industry. Amazon should consider providing its own data plan since there are many businesses that are looking for a cheaper alternative when it comes to Smartphone PBX support

According to sources, there seemed to have been some unexpected delays because of manufacturing issues. People might just have to wait a little while longer before they can get their hands on this promising gadget. If it does perform as promised, then other mobile giants like Apple and Samsung may have a new rival arriving in the market soon. If people will like it, then it is a clear indication that other Smartphone producers need to step up their game.
