Suri Cruise may be eight years old, but she’s still not too old to get a ride on her mother’s shoulders.
Katie Holmes treated her daughter to a fun-filled day at Disneyland in California on Saturday.
And it seems the ride Suri enjoyed the most was clinging onto Katie’s back as they wandered around the 160 acre theme park.
Katie, 35, was dressed casually in skinny jeans and a striped top, which she took off to reveal a white vest top, adorned with Disney badges.
Suri, meanwhile, looked cute in a pink outfit and wore Minnie Mouse ears on her head.
The duo took in the festivities ahead of Halloween, with the theme park currently in ‘Halloween Time’ mode with seasonal attractions and special activities, including crafts and Pumpkin displays.
Katie, who became divorced from husband Tom Cruise in 2012, is now setting her sights on making a directorial debut.
The former Dawson’s Creek actress is to step behind the camera for the first time when she directs and stars in the adaptation of Annie Weatherwax’s novel All We Had alongside producer Jane Rosenthal and Josh Boone, who will write the script for the emotional movie.
Speaking to Variety.com earlier this month, Holmes said: ‘I am very excited and honoured to be collaborating with Jane and Josh on this project and look so forward to bringing Annie’s incredible characters to the screen.’
The brunette beauty will play a mother in the movie, who is living on the edge of poverty with her young daughter, but they go on to find an unlikely home, surrounded by peculiar residents, in America.
Rosenthal said: ‘Katie has such a clear vision for the book’s irreverent, original mother-daughter relationship. Her passion for the material, along with Josh Boone’s ability to tell stories grounded in the comedy and drama of everyday, will truly bring these characters to life.’
Meanwhile, Katie will next been seen playing a teacher-turned-vigilante in ‘Miss Meadows.’
The comedy premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York in April and will be released in November.
