Madonna became the first high-profile artist to debut a music video through the image messaging app by making the clip available on SnapChat Discover on Thursday, February 5. She made the debut after she premiered the Julien Choquart and Camille Hirigoyen-directed clip on Thursday. The singer debuted the music video of her current single, “Living for Love”.
The new visuals, directed by Julien Choquart and Camille Hirigoyen, show Madge transforming into a matador. She shows off some sexy and energetic dance moves on a stage together with a number of men wearing bull horns.
‘Living for Love’ is the first offering from Madonna’s ‘Rebel Heart’ album that’s slated to hit the market on March 3. And it is one of the six songs she released after some of her demos leaked online back in December. Megan Laws choreographed its video and was styled by B. Akerlund who has earlier worked with Beyonce Knowles and Britney Spears among others.
It is expected that Madonna will now perform the track at the forthcoming Grammy Awards. The annual awards show will air live on Sunday, February 8 from Los Angeles, California. Madonna’s new single may be ‘Living for Love’, however, in its recently released video, love looks more like a battlefield.
“I could get caught up in bitterness/But I’m not dwelling on this crazy mess. What was lost, now I’m found/I picked up my crown, put it back on my head”, Madonna sings. The clip ends with Madonna in a bold pose while an unseen crowd cheers her on.
The singer has struggled with Internet thieves recently. Multiple, incomplete tracks from ‘Rebel Heart’ were stolen and circulated on the web over the last few months.
