You’ve probably noticed that Peyton Manning has been kind of dominant since signing with Denver before the 2012 season.

If you’re wondering how dominant the Broncos quarterback has been, consider this: After only 38 games in Denver, Manning is already the second leading passer in franchise history.

Manning threw for 318 yards against the 49ers on Sunday night, bringing his career total in Denver to 11,984 yards. That pushed Manning past Craig Morton for the No. 2 spot. Manning has also passed Brian Griese (11,763) and Jake Plummer (11,631) in the past two weeks.

Morton threw for 11,895 yards during his six seasons in Denver, a career that included 72 starts for the Broncos. Like Manning, Morton’s time in Denver also included a Super Bowl loss. Morton and the Broncos lost to the Cowboys in Super Bowl XII.

As for touchdown passes, Manning has actually been No. 2 on the Broncos career list for almost a year now. Morton threw 74 touchdown passes during his 72 career games in Denver. Manning passed that mark in only 28 games. Manning threw his 76th touchdown pass with the Broncos in Week 12 of 2013.

In case you haven’t heard, Manning now has 510 overall touchdown passes in his career, more than any other player in NFL history, including John Elway, who leads the Broncos in almost every statistical category you can measure a quarterback. Elway threw for 51,475 yards and 300 touchdowns during his 16 seasons in Denver.

It’s probably also worth mentioning that with 10 more touchdown passes this season, Manning will have 121 in less than three seasons with Denver. That’s more touchdown passes than any quarterback in Carolina Panthers history has ever thrown.

On a completely unrelated, but important note, Tim Tebow has thrown for the 15th most yards in Broncos history (2,383).
