Rihanna Goes For Geek Chic As She Covers Up In New York

Rihanna is not adverse to showing a bit of flesh on a day or night out, but it appears the star opted to cover up completely when she was spotted out in New York. The star star also channeled the geek chic vibe when she was seen wearing a pair of thick rimmed black glasses.

Riri, who has been quite quiet for a while, appeared to be in her own thoughts when she was spotted heading to Da Silvano restaurant in the city. The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker even tried to avert her gaze from the paparazzi who snapped away as she made her way to the eatery. Whilst Rihanna wore all black for her night out, the successful artist did add a pop of colour when she carried a black and bright yellow Chanel clutch wearing a pair of blue and baby pink stripped gloves.

Having sported a range of coloured hair in the past, Rihanna looked elegant and natural when she let her black hair fall in curls around her face.

The star, who has been spotted out and about in the Big Apple a lot recently, is thought to be working on some new music after she revealed last year that she was going to be working on her eighth studio album. Giving her fans an update, Rihanna, whose last album, Unapologetic was released in 2012, tweeted at the start of this month: Burning candles inside of the studio, rappin n prayin…

But that might not be the only thing that Rihanna will be working on for a while as it was recently alleged that the singer could make a cameo appearance in the new James Bond film, Suggesting details of the role that the star could play in the new film, a source claimed to HollywoodLife: “There have definitely been discussions of her joining the cast to be a Bond Girl. But she will not be the most focused Bond Girl if she gets the part. It will be more of a glorified cameo.

“Something that they have done in the past with people like Madonna, it will be a brief part of the film if she ends up making an appearance.
