9 Tips to Save Battery on Android Tablets

Android Tablets are mini laptops, which enable you to do all sort of official work when on move with ease. But there is one certain flaw which makes them inefficient, the Battery Life. Though each tablet has its own life but average period of battery is around 6-8 hours. This means they won’t last one full day with you. Buying a separate battery may cost you around $50. More so now in vacation time if you plan to take the tablet with you and play games or songs whole day, it is not possible.

By doing certain setting changes and tweaking the properties in tablet, you can most certainly increase the battery life. Here I will suggest some of the useful tips to save the battery power and use it for a longer period:

Turn off connecting devices options

In case you are not using 4G/3G please sure to turn it off. Though internet connection is the option we opt for while buying any tablet, it uses most of the tablet battery. Thus it is advisable to turn it off when not in use. Similarly, make sure to switch off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There would be a considerable amount of difference in the battery life.

Turn off location finder

You will not always require the need of GPS. Only when travelling in new places you will need it to guide you. Therefore for everyday functionality, turn off the GPS or location finder in any application.

Avoid Live Wallpapers

No matter how attractive animated wallpapers are, but they consume a lot of battery. To increase the battery life you should install a still background display.

Screen Brightness

To optimize battery life, keep the screen brightness on automatic mode. Keeping it too bright will require unnecessary power. Also, reduce the timeout period of the tablet. This way if you are not using it, tablet will go to sleep mode quickly.

Clean Cache Memory

Applications like Easy cache cleaner should be used once in a while to clean out the cache memory. These applications will scan the tablet and then you can select which all files are not needed any more and can be cleaned.

Messaging Apps

In case you know that need not be chatting with anyone, make sure to turn them off like Gtalk. These applications will automatically sign you in as soon as you turn on the phone.

Remove unnecessary widgets

Icons and widgets though seem to be just lying around but they keep running in the back end. Widgets like weather updates constantly keeps in touch with other websites to keep it updated. This way they keep consuming battery.

Change update setting for apps

The applications automatically when installed keep themselves in the mode of automatic update. This way as soon as an update happens they start running. Go to their setting and switch automatic updates. When the tablet is plugged to power then you can do all the updates together.

Adv-free

As much as possible install the applications without any advertisements. Otherwise applications use power to download the ads. Thus internet is also used unnecessarily.
