According to Xiaomi, over 150,000 people have registered to get their hands on the Redmi 1S this time round.

Notably, Xiaomi and Flipkart were also supposed to put the Redmi Note 4G on sale, starting 2pm IST today. However, the company, unlike its usual trend had outed the Redmi Note 4G without registration over the Republic Day weekend from January 24-26.

That said, the Redmi Note 4G will go on sale again on February 3, under the usual flash sale process. Registrations for the same are now open, said Xiaomi.

If we talk about the last flash sale, which was held on January 20, the company sold 30,000 units of the Redmi 1S in just 5 seconds, which given the company’s reputation is now quite a usual affair.

The Xiaomi Redmi 1S features a 4.7-inch IPS-LCD display with a 720×1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC (MSM8228) alongside 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with MIUI 5.0 on top.
