Angry fans take to Twitter
Despite being one of the most popular contestants on this
series of American Idol, Heejun Han was the latest to be sent home, after a week which saw all nine of the Idol
hopefuls significantly raise the bar in terms of live performances.
Heejun was in the
bottom three alongside Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine and had to sing for his life with a reprise of ‘A Song for You,’
after host Ryan Seacrest announced that he had come bottom in the nationwide vote.
Even though Heejun’s performance
was better than Wednesday’s rendition of the tune, the judges; Jennifer, Randy and Steven decided not to save him.
A
devastated Heejun graciously bowed out of the competition after singing his final song, telling the judges, audience and
viewers at home: “And I’m singing this song to…everyone! Guys, thank you so much!”
Aerosmith frontman Steven
Tyler praised the young singer for his best performance to date and J-Lo had tears in her eyes as she watched the young
singer leave.
Soon after the show finished large numbers of Idol viewers took to Twitter to protest about the
the bottom three and the elimination of Heejun.
