Said she fell in love with her
Cheryl Cole has claimed that her collaboration with
Lana Del Rey happened “organically” after discovering the singer over a year ago, while the rest of us were
oblivious.
The ‘Call My Name’ singer old fans earlier this
month that the Born To Die’ rising star will feature on forthcoming third studio album ‘A Million Lights’.
“I
noticed Lana about a year ago,” Cheryl revealed to Capital FM. “I was hearing these songs that were really fresh to my ear
and amazing and I asked the guy who she was and he said, ‘Watch out for her, it’s a girl called Lana Del Rey’.”
“It
all happened really organically just like that,” Cheryl added. “And then ‘Video Games’ came out and I fell in love with her
as an artist as well, so year, she’s super talented.”
Cheryl is also confirmed to have worked with manager Will.i.am,
Alex Da Kid, Jim Beanz, Pantha and HyGrade on her third studio album.
She will release her brand new single ‘Call My
Name’ on June 10 while new album ‘A Million Lights’ follows on June 18.
‘Call My Name’ video will debut in full
in May.
