Looking good and beautiful is always at the top of any woman’s list. While most people think that beauty requires money to obtain and maintain, the truth is that with a few simple tricks you can actually bring yourself at the receiving end of compliments, and it won’t even take up 10% of your paycheck.
Beauty Inside Out
Beauty, really, is an inside job and how you really feel about yourself can affect the way you look. Start your day with affirmations along the lines of “I am beautiful” and throughout the day, focus on feeling good. You’d be surprised how a difference in attitude can affect your physically.
Of course, side by side with a positive attitude, you should try your best to maintain a healthy body. No matter how fancy your clothes are, if you’re sick in anyway, it will show. So, exercise, eat properly, drink at least two liters of water per day to maintain healthy skin, and have a good night’s sleep.
Focus On You
No matter what you do, NEVER ever follow trends because they change a lot. Besides, the so-called trendy items (clothes, bags, etc.) are always more expensive.
Instead, focus on your individual style and taste, while taking stock of what styles fit your body type. Always focus on creating the illusion that you have a perfectly-proportioned body. If you have a long-waist, make your body look more proportional by wearing pencil skirts, NOT low-waist pants.
Your Color
Colors are also something that you need to be wary of; you need to match them with your complexion. Asians and Africans should avoid wearing washed out colors like beige and brown. Stick To The Basics
When it comes to makeup, stick to lip gloss, concealer, blush and mascara.
Cross Off Brands
Brands are really the bane of fashion buffs everywhere, but did you know that the average person really cannot tell the difference between a pair of $300 True Religion jeans and a $50 anonymous brand? The same is true for shoes. That said, don’t feel guilty about buying cheap clothes and shoes, especially if they look good on you.
Crossing off brands from your shopping list also means making frequent trips to thrift stores. Don’t worry, everybody does it.
Look Out For Off-Season Sales
Stores always hold sales towards the end of a season and some clothes sell for less than half of their original selling price. Take advantage of sales. However, take care to buy only the items that look classy on you.
Buy Versatile Clothes
When you’re buying clothes, buy the ones that you can also wear in other seasons. For example, a classy summer white shirt is something that you can wear under a cardigan. When looking at a particular item, imagine your closet and check if it will match with any of the clothes you already have.
