She’s unleashed her sexy side for 2013 with her sensual photoshoot for GQmagazine along with revealing secrets about her sex life with hubby Jay-Z, but now Beyonce Knowles is putting some ‘edge’ into her fragrance.
The yummy mummy of Blue Ivy is set to launch her new scent, Pulse NYC, in the UK in February, and shares a behind-the-scenes peek into the making of the campaign.
Beyonce reveals the inspiration for the scent and explains more about the look she sports, claiming that she’s found the right balance between ‘classy’ and ‘edgy’ with her perfume.
“I’m here in New York City shooting the ad campaign for my new fragrance Pulse NYC,” she said.
“I thought now that I am a New Yorker and I’ve learned how I can accomplish anything in this city, so I thought it would be an appropriate energy for this fragrance,” Beyoncé revealed.
“I’m shooting with the renowned Jean Baptiste Mondino [fashion photographer] and he is just so classy. He knows how to make a woman look and feel beautiful.”
”We wanted to make sure it’s still edgy and sophisticated and I think we’ve accomplished that here today,” she added.
The behind the scenes footage [see below] shows Beyonce posing in an assortment of silver, glass and glittery adorned mini dresses, with her hair styled in voluminous curls and her make-up flawless and peachy.
The themes of silver and blue are mentioned at the end of the clip where Beyonce sas that her daughter Blue Ivy was the pain inspiration behind the packaging.
“This is Pulse NYC and as you can see it is my favourite colour,” she smiled. “I wonder what that is,” she opines.
