The 35-year-old actor has not commented about the matter. Los Angeles police said deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in West Hollywood at 5:45 a.m. on January 13 and arrested Furlong for domestic battery and for a previous warrant for felony domestic violence. No further details were made available.

Furlong was arraigned at a Los Angeles court on January 15 and charged with misdemeanor battery. He was also arraigned on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant in connection with a misdemeanor domestic violence charge involving the same victim on December 12, the Los Angeles Times quoted prosecutors as saying.

He was previously detained on October 30, inside the arrivals area of Los Angeles International Airport. He was reportedly booked after allegedly grabbing his girlfriend’s arm. The woman’s identity was not revealed. Furlong’s spokesperson had no immediate comment about the arrest.

The actor has gotten into legal problems involving alleged domestic abuse even before.

The actor’s estranged wife and co-star of the 2006 film “Jimmy and Judy,” Rachael Kneeland, also known as Rachael Bella, obtained a three-year restraining order against him in August 2010, claiming that he was violent against her and did drugs.

His rep said at the time that the actor, who has battled substance abuse in the past, denies the allegations. Furlong spent several hours in jail on January 11 after a judge ruled he had violated the restraining order.

Furlong’s ex, with whom he shares a son, filed for divorce in July 2009 and it has not yet been finalized.

The actor rose to fame as a teen actor. He made his on-screen debut as John “Have You Seen This Boy?” Connor in the 1991 film “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” and later played Danny, the brother of a neo-Nazi skinhead, in the 1998 movie “American History X.”

Furlong also starred in films such as “Detroit Rock City,” the CBS series “CSI: NY” and rock band Aerosmith’s 1993 music video “Livin’ on the Edge.” In 2011, he appeared in the movie “The Green Hornet” and the independent film “For the Love of Money,” a “Jewish gangster” movie that also stars former child star and “Jerry Maguire” actor Jonathan Lipnicki.
