The actor found not speaking to her was harder than expected
Robert Pattinson appears to be forgiving and forgetting.
The Cosmopolis actor may have moved out the Los Angeles-area home he shared with Kristen Stewart, following the scandal caused by her cheating, but it appears they’re rekindling their estranged relationship.
Pattinson, 26, and Stewart, 22, reunited on the weekend of Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, igniting rumors that the estranged Twilight couple was patching up their three-year-plus relationship.
Since that fateful weekend together, the twosome have spent even more time together, meeting up at a pal’s guest house in their old Los Feliz neighborhood where they shared their multi-million dollar home.
“Rob was completely heartbroken and was saying there was no way he could ever forgive her,” a source told PEOPLE of the emotionally-conflicted actor. “But not speaking to someone that you thought was your end all, be all, is clearly harder than he expected.”
Even though Pattinson’s friends insist “he needs some time and space”, but “they all think they will be a couple again, maybe as soon as they are together for the Twilight promos.” (Surely, Summit Entertainment is having a huge sigh of relief to hear the press tour for the final installment Breaking Dawn – Part 2 won’t be so awkward and uncomfortable.)
Although they are spending time together in private, Pattinson and Stewart have yet to surface together in the public eye.
This past weekend, Pattinson attended the Van Cleef & Arpels Dinner for L.A. in Los Angeles, getting photographed alongside Natalie Portman.
Stewart, the face of Balenciaga, arrived to Paris alone on Wednesday and is scheduled to appear at the Spanish fashion house’s show on Thursday.
