The new mum has pounds on the brain…
Jessica Simpson debuted her 40lbs weight loss on live television earlier this week, as she sat down for her first chat after welcoming daughter Maxwell, with Katie Couric, but while most of her friends are happy for her success – one has allegedly complained that Jess’ obsession is “tiresome”.
The Fashion Star judge’s pal has said that her “constant obsession” over losing weight is too much even if she has got a multi-million dollar deal with Weight Watchers.
According to The Chicago Sun-Times, a friend said: “I know she’s got that big deal with Weight Watchers and all, but losing her baby fat is just about the only thing she’s talking about. It’s just tiresome.”
Along with the stress of being a first-time mother, Jess also has a wedding to plan as she’s engaged to former NFL star Eric Johnson – and on top of that?
Her parents are set to divorce. (Not to mention the bitchy ‘friend’.)
Joe and Tina Simpson, who both oversee Jess’ career, are said to be amicabily divorcing and finalising the details.
From the way that they split their responsibilities, it works out that Tina is allegedly more richer than her soon-to-be ex Joe.
Tina handles all of Jess’ endorsement and merchandising deals, while Joe reportedy looks after her media projects including TV appearances.
They write: “Given Jessica’s singing and acting have been eclipsed by her endorsement and licensing deals — which make hundreds of millions — Tina has really raked in the big bucks.”
So not everyone has been impressed by Jess’ weight loss it seems, and that includes many of her fans, who have been a little disappointed with the debut.
Twitter user @Old_M_Rivers wrote: “Jessica simpson is huge!”
While @PaulRyanJr added: “Jessica Simpson is hands down the hottest fat girl I’ve ever seen…..”
One user questioned Jessica’s reported weight, with the tweet: “That heffa (Jessica Simpson) is nowhere near 130lbs. There’s nothing wrong with being chubby, just don’t LIE! sigh.”
But some fans were thrilled with Jess’ success, as some supported the new mum. @dlatchison011 tweeted: “They do put a lot of pressure of Jessica Simpson to lose weight. I don’t like the media.Happy she’s losing the weight tho 4 her”.
While @melanielianexoa added: “I think Jessica Simpson looks beautiful!!”
Talking to Couric on the show, Jess said: “I’m very nervous! I just had a lot of pressure on me to lose the baby weight. Today was one of my goals: getting here, feeling comfortable. I feel beautiful today!”
