Follow-up to 2010’s ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’
He may have been busy travelling the world with Jay-Z for their Watch Their Throne tour and romancing Kim Kardashian but the rapper is back to work and will reportedly release his sixth solo album later this year.
West is currently working on the release of the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer and also the anticipated follow-up to his 2010 effort My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
Def Jam vice president No I.D. told MTV that the current plans are to release his next studio albim after Cruel Summer.
“He’s coming right after that,” said No I.D., “I’m not working on that [Cruel Summer] album, I’m working on his album.
“This is Kanye. You know what to expect from the family. He hasn’t missed yet, so don’t expect him to miss. It’s what you expect and everything you don’t expect.”
Earlier this week Kanye West debuted his latest track, a collaboration with Pusha T, titled ‘New God Flow’, and it’s everything you would hope for from the rapper.
West has become one the biggest superstars in music since his debut album, The College Dropout, was released in 2004, but he’s also increasingly courted controversy.
But that’s part of the reason we love Kanye, his creativity and musical nous at times does validate his ego, the debut of ‘New God Flow’ is one of these moments.
