Star stopped by ‘Chicago’ to support father Billy Ray
Miley Cyrus might be the star in the family, but she hasn’t forgotten about her father, Billy Ray, deciding to make a surprise appearance at his Broadway performance in the musical ‘Chicago’.
The 19-year-old jetted to New York to surprise her father, along with her mother Tish and some of her siblings Brandi, Braison and Noah. Billy Ray, who shot to fame with his hit single ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ in the nineties, was certainly excited by the arrival of his family.
He told Entertainment Tonight: “It was awesome. This was a great surprise, it’s been almost three months since I’ve seen my family. I left California, I went and finished the album, then I spent a couple of weeks finishing my book.”
“Then I went straight into filming this new pilot, called Still The King – that took a few weeks. Then I headed straight up to New York and began rehearsals for this. It’s just been a blur, but it was a great surprise, a great way to start off Thanksgiving.”
It wasn’t all fun and games in New York though as Miley was there to get ready for her new album and according to Splash News was spotted visiting several record companies.
The former Hannah Montana star teased her fans on Twitter about her new record: “What a dope morning. So many fans outside my hotel this a.m. in NYC. If there’s this much chaos NOW imagine when I drop this record! #ohsnap.”
It was just a flying visit though as Miley was spotted arriving back in LA a few hours ago.
