I wanted to kill him. I just used to wish that he was dead.In Minaj’s recent Nightline interview, she ended up launching into a rant about her father Omar. She described him as a drug addict and alcoholic who foten used to threaten her mother.

We were afraid for my mother’s life because whenever he would have a real bad outburst he would threaten to kill her.

She also explained that he once even burned down their family home; however, she explained that the difficult childhood has only made her stronger.

I always put my foot down with men. I let them know ‘I’m not going to submit to you.

Yet now it seems as if her claims were grossly exaggerated, if family sources are to be believed.

Nicki’s father, Omar, has admitted to TMZ that he DID have anger issues when she was a child, but that it never reached the point Nicki described in her interview.

Sources also revealed that Omar was absolutely heartbroken when Nicki aired her grievances about him in public, insisting that he never knew she felt this way about him.

Her father still loves Nicki very much … and always has.

We don’t know what to believe anymore; what do you think?
