The up-and-coming rapper rants about the professional gossip on Twitter
Rappers are known for using some pretty strong language, but singer Azealia Banks’ foul-mouthed attack on Perez Hilton takes things to a whole new level after the up-and-coming star directed a homophobic slur at the blogger AND suggesting that he kill himself.
The BBD singer took to Twitter this morning to call Perez, amongst other things, a ‘fa*got’, ‘b*tch’, ‘d*ckbreath’ and ‘n*gga’. Nice, huh?
It all kicked off after Perez tweeted Azealia, criticising her for her feuds with other female rappers.
To which Azealia replied: “Get the f*ck outta here d*ckbreath.’
She then launched into an oh-so-eloquent tirade against the famed celebrity gossiper, with many of her tweets focusing on Perez’s sexuality.
“What a messy fa*got you are,” she said in one tweet.
In another she asked: “Does your butthole whistle? Like is your butthole so stretched and raggedy the air whistles when you move?”
Her mother must be so proud of what a nice, polite, tolerant young lady she’s raised.
Never one to back down from a celebrity spat, Perez attempted to take the high road by replying: “Some of your music is cute, but your attention-seeking ways are pathetic and hurtful. You drag while others choose to uplift!”
In another tweet, Azealia – who, ironically, recently said she was going to give up rapping because it was tacky and unladylike (do try to control your laughter) – told Perez: “OMG u should just kill yourself… Like for real.”
Perez responded with: “Wishing death upon someone. Real cute! The only thing I wish dead is your barely-beginning career!”
Fans reacted angrily on Twitter to Azealia’s offensive language.
One tweeted: “I’m not cool with Azealia using “fa*got” to insult.. I’m not cool with it at all.”
Another said: “@AZEALIABANKS is going to ruin her career before it even started. Death wishes aren’t cute.”
The singer later defended her tweets, posting: “A fa*got is not a homosexual male. A fa*got is any male who acts like a female. There’s a BIG difference.”
Umm, you might want to check your urban dictionary, Azealia…
