After a five-year hiatus, The Rolling Stones returned to the stage Sunday night in London at the O2 Arena for the first show of their anniversary tour to celebrate 50 successful years in the music business.
Lead singer Mick Jagger got the crowd of 20,000 people going when he sang “I Wanna Be Your Man” right off the bat.
The show, which lasted over two hours, also included performances of hits “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” Former band members Bill Wymanand Mick Taylor even got in on the fun, joining Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards andCharlie Watts on stage.
A few of the band’s famous friends stopped by, with Mary J. Blige joining Jagger to perform a duet of “Gimme Shelter,” and guitar hero Jeff Beck lending his talents to “I’m Going Down.”
