ALBANY — A Staten Island pol has some advice for newly pregnant Snooki: Put down the bottle.
“I just hope someone talks to her about fetal alcoholism,” Sen. Diane Savino, the outspoken Democrat who chairs the Senate Children and Families Committee, told the Daily News.
Savino urged the hard-partying “Jersey Shore” mom-to-be “to change her behavior.”
“It’s time to grow up,” said Savino, who thinks Snooki’s sex-crazed, boozing image sends a horrible message to young women.
“We don’t wish anything bad on her. I hope her baby is healthy. Here’s a chance for her to change her image and become a positive role model.”
Snooki, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, recently announced that she learned she was pregnant in January — not long after a New Year’s Eve booze binge.
She is engaged to the baby’s father, Jionni LaValle, and
told US Weekly that her wild days are behind her and she won’t return for the new season of “Jersey Shore.”
“No more peeing on porches,” she said. “Those days are over.”
Snooki has caught Savino’s attention before.
The legislator called the reality show chippie “very troubled” and “exploited” last year after the Staten Island Mall hired her for a marketing appearance.
