While Sofia Vergara isn’t exactly sure of her wedding date, she’s sure that she wants it to be a big affair.
“If I’m going to do something, it’s going to have to be a big event,” she told People magazine. “I just had my 40th birthday in Mexico. I had more than 100 people.”
Vergara recently became engaged to longtime boyfriend Nick Loeb. The actor proposed to the actress during her 40th birthday celebration in Mexico, and her son Manolo Gonzalez documented the eventful day on video .
The 40-year-old actress went on to explain how her wedding will be anything but conventional.
“We don’t do that type of tradition,” she continued. “[Nick and I want] more like of a party [with] music, dancing, a lot of food; not really sitting there hours and giving speeches.”
Vergara is known for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on “Modern Family.” She was nominated for two Emmys and two Golden Globes for the character. The ABC comedy series has won two Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series.
She went on to explain how while she’s extremely excited, at the moment, she doesn’t have time for wedding planning.
“Now I don’t have the time – and it will have to be one weekend when I have the time to plan something fun,” she continued. “I don’t even know what I’m going to do.”
Vergara landed at the top of Ask Men’s list of the “Most Desirable” women of 2012.
The actress has said in the past that she loves being a sex symbol and has showcased her trim and curvy swimsuit body in Diet Pepsi commercials and in bikini vacation photos on her own Twitter page.
Vergara has in the past also been featured on Maxim magazine’s “Hot 100” list and has also been named one of People magazine’s “Most Beautiful” people. The actress told OnTheRedCarpet.com in December 2011 that chose comedy acting because she “never wanted to be taken seriously.”
