It’s a new little princess for the Swedish royal family!
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden gave birth to the future queen on Feb. 23, according to People! “The Crown Princess feels radiant, she is so happy,” her husband (and former personal trainer) Prince Daniel told reporters. “Both the little daughter and the Crown Princess are doing great.”
The baby weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was born in Stockholm’s Karolinska Hospital at 4:26 a.m. local time. But don’t expect to find out her name just yet! King Carl Gustaf is expected to announce the baby’s name on Feb. 24.
Princess is the first-born of the king, so the 34-year-old is first in line to the throne. Now her baby is second in line!
“This is a new situation, something you never experienced before,” Prince Daniel said about fatherhood. “To deliver the baby is always associated with certain risks, but everything has gone exceptionally well.”
Congrats to the royal family!
