The National Enquirer’s Photo Of Whitney Houston In A Casket Is Tasteless

The magazine chose to run a pic of the deceased singer on its cover — do you think it was a good idea?

Whitney Houston

If there was ever an image I did not need to see — it is certainly the photo of the late Whitney Houston in her coffin.

The National Enquirer published the picture of an embalmed Whitney in its latest issue, which will certainly leave a lot of people wishing they could Eternal Sunshine themselves in order to forget the photo that will now be burned into their brain. (If you are one of the lucky ones to have missed it and really want to see it, it’s your decision.)

Imagine doing your weekly grocery shopping, pushing your cart up to the check out when all of the sudden you’re accosted by the image of the dead singer on the rack next to photos of Kim Kardashian in a bikini. How gross is that? (And I don’t mean Kim in a bikini. She always looks rather hot.)

Is there no privacy left at all for celebrities? Yes, they put themselves out there and are paid millions of dollars and in turn must give up part of themselves to the Hollywood machine, but Whitney is dead. She doesn’t owe us anything anymore — if she ever did in the first place. In fact, we owe her and her family some peace. It’s the only thing we can offer at this point.

Do you agree HollywoodLifers, should the photo have been published?
