2013 started off with the BlackBerry Z10 but very soon it was dominated by two new android smartphones. One was Samsung Galaxy SIV and another one was off course the HTC One.
Galaxy SIV got popularity and sales due to its unique apps and features while people are going crazy about the design and look of HTC One.
On other hand, HTC One is week in software and Galaxy SIV is lacking a unique design but still both devices are selling in huge bundles.
After seeing the craze of people in both these device, both brands have been caught working on the mini format of these two devices i.e. HTC One mini and Galaxy SIV mini.
Till now, HTC One mini is rumoured but there are lots of official specs and features out about Galaxy SIV mini.
I’m here with the comparison between both these devices. As till now no official announcements have been made so everything am comparing are part of on-going rumors.
Design
Well, this section need not to be described as anyone can easily make out that both the devices are going to have the identical designs to their parent devices. HTC may change something little bit in design but I can’t expect this good thing from Samsung.
Display
Both the devices are going to have 4.3inch diagonally measuring displays but HTC One mini is going to feature HD resolution while Samsung will stick to lower one.
HTC One mini is rumored to have TFT panel or may be LCD panel but Samsung Galaxy SIV mini is going to have Super AMOLED panel.
CPU
Both brands are going to use Snapdragon chipset and dual core processors inside these mini devices. There will be dedicated GPU as well and the internal RAM will be at least 2GB. The internal storage is going to be 16GB in HTC One mini and 8GB in Galaxy SIV mini.
OS
Both the devices are going to have Jelly Bean 4.2.2 version of android. This is the latest available version of Jelly Bean till now but very soon there will be Jelly Bean 4.3 out but still this version of android is good to be there in both devices.
Camera
Samsung is going to carry on with 8MP shooter at back and 1.9MP at front. The rear shooter is going to feature autofocus, LED flash, geo tagging, HDR, face detection and touch focus.
While HTC will carry on with its ultrapixel 4MP shooter at rear and there will be one secondary camera too. The rear camera will be capable of taking full HD videos and pictures. Other features going to be there with rear camera are geo tagging, face detection, smile detection, image stabilization and LED flash.
Data
SIV mini is going to support LTE cellular network while One mini is going to be there with 3G HSDPA only. Other data connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared, NFC, etc are going to be there in both devices.
Announcement
HTC One mini and Galaxy SIV mini, both are going to be announced or launched in the month of July this year. Samsung will launch first followed by HTC.
