Meet Toby, who’s spent roughly $100,000 to transform himself into a Justin Bieber lookalike.
We’ll let you judge whether he was successful in his freaky pursuit.
Toby, who’s 33, is featured in an upcoming episode of TLC’s WTF? series, “My Strange Addiction,” which returns for its fifth season Jan. 1 with tales of mattress eaters, paint drinkers and, yes, one woman obsessed with chewing on — and sniffing — dirty diapers.
We kid you not.
In the episode featuring Toby, scheduled to air late next month, viewers will learn how the LA-based songwriter, who specializes in Euro pop, first got Bieber fever when he was in his early 20s. “He doesn’t even like Justin Bieber’s music that much, but his hairline started receding and he started to age, ‘really badly,’ ” says “My Strange Addiction” showrunner Kelly McClurkin.
“He said he looked horrible and, just as Justin Bieber was hitting it big, he saw this youthful, teenage guy that he calls ‘a beauty icon for men’ and from that moment on he wanted to look like Justin Bieber.
“He was jealous of Bieber’s good looks.”
In his zealous pursuit to remodel himself along the lines of The Biebs, Toby has undergone around 100 procedures — “everything from hair transplants to a chin reduction to having surgery to make his smile look like Bieber’s,” McClurkin says. “He’s had his upper lip surgically shrunk so that more of his teeth show, and he had his eyes reconstructed to make them look brighter along the lines of Bieber’s eyes.
He’s also had tons of fillers to remove any wrinkles and add a youthful look, to make everything look fuller and plumper.
Oh, and Toby has also had liposuction, “and works out all the time to make sure he keeps that ripped look like Justin Bieber has,” McClurkin says.
Toby, who’s 13 years older than Bieber, also dresses like his idol. “He goes for the teenage streetwear look and buys things he knows Bieber would like,” McClurkin says.
“He says that some people pay for expensive cars or mansions — but he’s decided he wants to sink his money into looking like Justin Bieber.”
