The 43-year-old singer reckons her latest injury was one of her most difficult and painful life experiences
The Without You diva has revealed that dislocating her shoulder was one of the toughest experiences she has had – similar to giving birth to her twins Morocco and Monroe.
The mother of two, who gave birth to her son and daughter in 2011, said: “I feel like I have suffered the toughest experience of my life about several things.
“One was having twins and anybody who’s ever had multiples will know it is one of the most difficult experiences ever but the reward is just beyond – I can’t even explain how rewarding having these babies is for me.
“But yeah, breaking my rib is not festive. Dislocating my shoulder was not a good thing either.”
The Always Be My Baby singer injured herself in July while filming a video for the remix of #Beautiful, which was being directed by her husband Nick Cannon.
Cannon appeared on the US Today show afterwards, stating that Carey slipped on stage.
“She was in this nice, beautiful gown, heels on and everything, and was kind of on this platform and reached and slipped and fell on her whole side.”
Ouch – well luckily Mariah is well on the mend.

She said to E! News this week: “I’m like 95 percent healed, but we’re good. We’re getting there.”
She also posted a message to her Facebook fans about her ordeal, saying that she has made a relatively speedy recovery.
“Getting through this injury has been the toughest experience of my life. it’s a huge deal, it should have taken eight months and even my doctors can’t believe it. It’s been a long journey, the physical therapists have been incredible and I am very grateful to all of them for helping me.”
