Andrea Walker, 33, is charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse and two counts of aggravated neglect or endangerment, police said.

The charges come a day after the baby, Aniston Walker, was reported missing. Police said in an alert issued Thursday that she was last seen that morning wearing a brown onesie with football emblems on it.

On Friday, police wearing protective vests and using search dogs went from home to home in the residential neighborhood where Walker lived with the baby. Officers searched trash bins and backyards throughout the neighborhood of single-family homes dotted with patches of trees.

About five officers searched the area near a pond and some tall pine trees, but they apparently found nothing.

About two dozen marked and unmarked police cars lined the street at Walker’s house as neighbors watched the searches from their front doors and yards.

Police on the scene declined to comment.
