Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Desmond Bryant was in jail in Miami on Sunday morning on a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief.
Bryant was held on $1,000 bail, and was booked at 9:24 a.m. ET, according to records from the Miami-Dade County jail.
“We’re aware of the situation and are gathering more information,” Oakland Raiders spokesman Zak Gilbert told USA TODAY Sports.
Bryant is set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 12. He played in every game last season for the Raiders, with eight starts. He had four sacks, one fewer than his career-high of five in 2011.
Bryant signed with the Raiders in 2009 as an undrafted rookie from Harvard.
