Elon Musk claims he intends to convert a Twitter building in San Francisco into a homeless shelter.

Twitter owner Elon Musk claims he wants to turn one of his company’s buildings in San Francisco into a homeless shelter, but the building’s owner won’t allow it.

We tried to turn it into a homeless shelter, but the owner turned it down, the tech mogul told the BBC on Tuesday night.

Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco consists of two buildings.

Because he’s only using one of the buildings, he could turn one of the buildings into a homeless shelter, Musk said.

If the building owner allows it, we do it. When asked for details about how homeless shelters work, Musk said: I don’t know, but I was able to get people to stay there.

He said at the time that he had been telling his employees to go back to the office since buying the company, but nobody shows up in the office anyway.

Musk recently clashed with the building owner after he tried to hide a large logo “W” outside his office in order to change the company’s name to Titter.

They didn’t even allow the ‘W’ to be removed from the symbol, he told the BBC. Other changes Musk has made to the building include auctioning off furniture, trying to sell office plants to employees, and cutting back on snacks.

Twitter opened its first office in San Francisco in 2006 and has been headquartered in San Francisco ever since.

Musk, who has repeatedly clashed with California authorities and moved electric-car company Tesla’s headquarters to Texas, said Twitter has no plans to leave San Francisco yet.

This place is beautiful, he added.
