Twitter is turning into an X, replacing the site’s previous blue bird logo with an official new X logo.
Elon Musk, who owns the revamped social media, began early Sunday morning with a series of tweets announcing the change, saying, “And very soon we will be saying goodbye to the Twitter brand and gradually saying goodbye to all birds.”
When the mobile version of the app is updated, the bird logo may be replaced with his X logo. However, the reference to Twitter still remains in his main web login his prompt.
After Musk urged people to post logos by saying, “If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll post it around the world tomorrow,” Twitter replaced the logo, after which Musk pinned a tweet containing a video made by a Twitter user named Sawyer Merritt and changed his profile picture to the new X logo.
Elon Musk said the new X logo is a “temporary” logo and may be replaced at a later date.
